I just wanna say one thing, and that is you have no right to claim the American government is living richly off the taxes our citizens pay to them. If that happened in my country, the person taking the money would quickly be discovered and put in jail. In fact, it's people in YOUR government that take bribes quite often and they live very wealthy lives while those beneath them are poor and struggling.

i don't think Xi'an is so awful as u said.As u've known,Foreigners, especially Americans(US government is really disgusting, living a luxury lifestyle with other people's money, now it is forcing chinese currency pay the cheque,so B!tch!pls forgive my rude.)feel it's so cheap to travel in China, after all, many chinese people are still living in poor condition without any money resource and good education except playing some tricks or being a repeated workers.Surely i admit this behevior is not right, but u should have considered the mood of ur travelling day was good or disappointing.i intend to say u chose a wrong time, wrong place to tour and meet some wrong people.

I'd lived in Beijing and India for more than a year.Indeed i felt all of chinese acient landmarks are boring, such as Forbidden Palace, etc. However they represent Chinese culture,if u understand the backgrounds of them,u will find interesting and fun.On the other hand,in China, the most interesting travelling places are not the most famous,u'd better take a discovering Eyes. There are many tourist traps in India(seemingly it's an illness in Developping countries),in the beginning,i felt so anxious and disgusting when i met indian caught me up to sell sth, nevertheless,As i entered to know about this country, those misery sellers had become cutie day by day.

I'm glad to hear that ur Chinese is quite well,i hope u could have been understanding China gradually.Xi'an is the root of China, the best place u should visit is Shannxi historical muesum, like going to NYC,the most recommended place is,except The empire building，the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

I'm sorry to write so much,if i bring u bad mood, pls forgive my rude and unpolite saying.

regards.

I loved my trip to Xi'an. You went at a bad time of year.

I went to the Drum tower, and the bell tower while I was there. And did the eastern tour which also goes to the tomb of the first emperor (which makes the little anthropologist in my heart go yay), and western tour (which was only in chinese) but fun.

Totally different experience. I went alone and loved it, made friends with some lovely gentlemen from France, and helped translate for a girl that I met while on the Chinese tour on the western side of Xi'an. There were only a couple of things that went bad when I was there, but its an absolutely beatiful place to go in April. I went there over the Labour day holiday.
