Mid-Autumn Festival in China
This festival has several names including the Lantern Festival and Mooncake Festival. The main reason for this holiday is to celebrate the harvest. On this special holiday in September, people celebrate by eating moon cakes bought from stores and wearing traditional Chinese clothing. People will carry lanterns, burn incense, and watch the night sky with their friends and family. My experience involved wearing the clothing, watching my friends pray to their ancestors, and creating paper boats with lights to guide lost souls and sending them off from the shore by the lake.
