Wuhan, China: This is the zhèng mén, or main gate, to Hua Shi University. It’s massive columns give the impression of superiority. The practice of creating huge buildings or gates has become commonplace in an attempt to show off to the rest of the world. Sadly, it’s just a waste of raw materials that could have been the support beams for someone’s house.
Do you agree or disagree with the practice of wasting materials just for the sake of “face?”
